As the V&A prepares to open it’s East London outpost in the Olympic Park, they’ve actually taken over a small space in Poplar called the Lansbury Micro Museum. Their current exhibition ‘Seeing Red’ is a collection of posters from the women’s printing workshop See Red who where very active members of London’s feminist movement in the 70s and 80’s.
This month Pearl Wise and Jessie Lawson speak to Jorge Lopes Ramos from theatre and digital art company ZU-UK about their ambitious upcoming interactive audio event, Pearl discovers how Museum in a Box are combining the internet of things and museum handling collections and plays some sounds from Seeing Red an exhibition of consciousness raising posters by the feminist women’s screen print workshop See Red, Jessie introduces Eva from her Now Then podcast – giving voice to people over 80, plus live music from singer/songwriter Morgan Lorelle.
