A little ‘decorum’ with Magic Me
Pearl Wise meets Kate Hodson and Sue Mayo as they were rehearsing with a group of women aged 14 to 80 for Decorum a participative performance piece by the intergenerational arts organisation Magic Me to explore etiquette and behaviour expectations for women today.
Decorum is at the Southbank WOW Festival Sun 12 March 12.30
This month is a jubilant celebration of women with Pearl Wise and Katie Haylor joined in the studio by Maggie Pinhorn from Alternative Arts explaining why there’s a need for East London’s Women’s History Month, Katie meets Rachel Smith from Walthamstow Wetlands, Pearl Wise finds out how Magic Me connects women of different generations through their collaborative performance ‘Decorum’ and she meets Ellie Tsatsou and Gelly Siganou two women shining a light on Greek photography via their Whitelight platform and finally ‘Joanna’ Virgo talks to singer-songwriter Sofia B before she plays live in the studio and explains why Take Her Name the campaign in support of females in the music industry is on the agenda.
