Fantastic news for the world film aficionados – the Argentine Film Festival is arriving to Hackney soon… The Hackney Picturehouse welcomes a fully packed programme of 3 days of films about and from Argentina, featuring contemporary directors as well as a New Talents (‘Nuevos Talentos’).
The festival will include seven short films directed by Argentina’s up and coming directors and the audience can still catch up with the biggest blockbusters from the past year.
Black comedy ‘Wild Tales’ by argentinian director Damian Szifron will open this third edition of the Argentine Film Festival and you can find the detailed programme here.

Short Sighted Cinema presents an evening of short film inspired by the buzzing (and hispter-y?) borough of Hackney. Cinema “apassionados” will have a chance to meet filmmakers, there’s Q&A.
Best part? It’s free. Head to the Hackney Attic at the Hackney Picturehouse from 6pm.

This Tuesday rush up to Hackney Attic for film Quiz Show. Notorious big-screen big-sound quiz brings you the best (should we say hardest too?) questions from the world of movies. Build up a team (no limits on team size) and head to the Attic from 6.30PM. Tickets are £4pp.
