Viktor Wynd welcomes you on an audiotour of his Museum of Curiosities, on Mare St.
The Museum is described as both an installation and a performance and includes (many, many…) curiosities, exhibitions, workshops and talks about taxidermy and history, cocktails and dinner parties.
The Upper Galleries feature exhibitions, an impressive coral reef aquarium and a very quirky cocktail bar. Down the “golden stairs” that’s where you’ll be mesmerized: Wynd created a Wunderkabinett that gathers both things extraordinary and mundane. The Museum’s collection includes art from English Surrealism, Natural History items like Dodo bones, a 4-meter-long crab, preserved babies – there’s no line connecting the collection apart from Wynd’s desire to collect it all.
