Iain Sinclair is perhaps the most renowned modern writer to have tackled east London as a subject so extensively. Nia Charpentier met him before he gave a talk on the “soul of the streets” of the capital, as part of multimedia artist Hubert Blanz’s exhibition about the London landscape at the Austrian Cultural Forum.
